Baystate Health

Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA is a 653-bed academic medical center and the Western campus of Tufts University School of Medicine. It is also the region’s only tertiary care referral medical center and Level I Trauma Center.

Radiology & Imaging radiologists manage and interpret the imaging studies in the Department of Radiology for Baystate, and we provide high quality education for Tufts medical students and radiologists in training.  R&I radiologists direct the Radiology Residency program, including supervision of resident interpretation in all modalities of medical imaging, academic conferences, and research.

Radiology & Imaging also has a partnership with Baystate Health in providing out-patient radiology at Baystate Radiology & Imaging. The partnership was established to better reach out into the community and make our services more convenient. Imaging is available at four locations: 325 King Street in Northampton, 294 North Main Street in East Longmeadow, 470 Granby Road in South Hadley, and 113 Elm Street in Enfield, CT.

Baystate Wing Hospital

Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer is a 74-bed community hospital with a rich history of providing outstanding health care for people throughout the Quaboag Hills and the Pioneer Valley. Baystate Wing Hospital offers a broad range of medical, surgical, and psychiatric services, has a fully staffed Emergency Department that offers adults and children comprehensive emergency services around the clock, includes a six-bed critical care unit and is a primary stroke center designated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, recognized with a Get With the Guidelines® Gold Plus quality award for stroke care from the American Heart Association.

Our hospital offers comprehensive, personalized, and high-quality inpatient and outpatient behavioral health and addiction treatment services through the Griswold Behavioral Health Center and the Center for Geriatric Psychiatry.

Franklin Medical Center

Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC) is an 89-bed community hospital, rooted in a rich tradition of service and accountability to the people of Franklin County, North Quabbin, and surrounding communities. Radiology & Imaging is proud to be among the best trained and highly regarded radiologists who partner with Shields Healthcare. Shields is a leader in diagnostic imaging and has been in business for over 25 years. They have imaging centers throughout the State of Massachusetts, providing MRI, PET and CT services.

Our joint venture provides convenient and quality MRI and PET services in a brand new Imaging Center at 80 Wason Avenue in Springfield. The new center provides state-of-the art equipment, professional and courteous staff and technologists, and the highest quality interpretations by our skilled board certified radiologists.

Shriner’s Hospital for Children®

Shriners Hospitals for Children® is a health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Shriners Hospitals for Children® provides care for thousands of kids with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate.

The pediatric radiologists of Radiology & Imaging are proud to work with Shriner’s Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts to provide specialized imaging interpretation.

Mary Lane Hospital

Mary Lane Hospital is a nationally recognized community hospital located in Ware, and serves Hampden, Hampshire and Worcester counties. Radiology & Imaging radiologists read all radiology studies at the hospital including trauma cases, inpatient and outpatient imaging as well as pediatric exams. The fully staffed emergency department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and pledges to see patients in 30 minutes or less. Mary Lane Hospital received a National Quality Key Measures Award from the Joint Commission for surgical pneumonia care—one of only six hospitals in the state and among the top 14% nationally to receive the award.
